The Eggon ethnic group has a new paramount ruler in the person of Justice Ahmed Ubangari (rtd), former Chief Justice of Nasarawa State.
The announcement was made by Governor Abdullahi Sule during a meeting with the state’s Traditional Council of Chiefs in Lafia on Friday.
Out of the three surviving kingmakers, two selected Justice Ubangari, and the traditional council of Chiefs ratified the decision, which was subsequently approved by Governor Sule.
Justice Ubangari takes over from HRH Dr. Bala Abaine Angbazo, who passed away in July 2022.
