The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Nasarawa Eggon Division, Haruna Abdulkarim has been kidnapped by unknown men.
Abulkarim was kidnapped at the late hours of Tuesday along Bakyano-Arikya while returning from supervision of ‘officers on duty’ deployed to provide security of lives and property along the road.
The Overseer of Akun Development Area, Hon. Moses Anvah confirmed the incident to NBS news.
According to the Overseer, the matter has since been reported to the Police authorities in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Efforts to reach the Police PRO, DSP Ramhan Nansel, proved abortive at press time as he fails to respond to calls put across.
