Discover Pelumi Adeoye’s latest release WITHOUT YOU / ARIKE, a two-track project exploring heartbreak, longing, hope and love.
Two Songs. Two Perspectives. One Story About Love.
Love does not always sound the same.
Sometimes it is the quiet feeling of missing someone. Sometimes it is the hope that they might come back. Pelumi Adeoye explores both sides of that emotional spectrum in his latest release, “WITHOUT YOU / ARIKE.”
Released in August 2026, the two-track project gives listeners two very different perspectives on love, absence and hope.
“WITHOUT YOU”
The first track, “Without You,” takes a more reflective approach.
It is a calm and soothing pop record centred around the memories that remain after a relationship has ended. Rather than focusing solely on heartbreak, the song sits in that quieter space where someone looks back at what was shared and comes to terms with their absence.
There is vulnerability in the record, but also familiarity. Missing someone is an emotion almost everyone understands, and Pelumi uses that feeling as the heart of the song.
“ARIKE”
“Arike” takes the story in another direction.
The Afropop record follows a lover who has left in search of greener pastures, while the person left behind holds onto the possibility that she may eventually return.

The mood is brighter, more energetic and hopeful, creating a natural contrast with “Without You.”
Where “Without You” looks backward, “Arike” looks forward.
That contrast is what makes the project work as a complete listening experience. The songs don’t tell exactly the same story. Instead, they capture two emotional possibilities that can exist within love: learning to live with someone’s absence and holding onto hope that they may return.
For Pelumi Adeoye, the project is another step in his evolution as a Nigerian Afropop artist and songwriter.
With “WITHOUT YOU / ARIKE,” he continues to build his identity around something that has been present since his debut: turning real emotions into songs that listeners can see themselves in.
