Rising star Oso Richie returns to the spotlight today with the release of his highly anticipated new single, Orise. The track marks his first release this year, following the success of his previous hit single Kiss, which earned widespread acclaim and streaming milestones.
Orise showcases Oso Richie’s commitment to cultural authenticity and sonic innovation. The project masterfully blends the Ika dialect with English, creating a unique sound that bridges tradition and contemporary Afrobeat. The Ika language, which originates from Delta State and parts of Edo State in Nigeria, brings a rich linguistic heritage to the track, offering listeners both familiar and fresh lyrical depth.
Speaking on the release, Oso Richie shared:
“Orise is more than just music to me — it’s a celebration of identity. I wanted to honor my roots while giving fans something they can feel globally. After ‘Kiss,’ I knew the next step had to be intentional, and this record is that statement.”
The new single explores themes of gratitude and divine elevation, with “Orise” translating to expressions of praise and reverence. Produced with a fusion of indigenous rhythms and modern production, the track is poised to resonate with both local audiences and the diaspora.
