3. The Kebbi State Police Command has said it repelled an attack by suspected Lakurawa terrorists on security operatives along the Maje border road in Bagudo Local Government Area of the state. The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Bashir Usman, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi.

4. Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has applauded the Department of State Services, DSS, the Nigerian Army, as well as the Nigeria Police Force, for rescuing 21 victims kidnapped in the state. The disclosure was conveyed in a statement issued on Saturday by the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasir Mua’zu.

Three major opposition parties— the Peoples Democratic Party, New Nigerian Peoples Party, and African Democratic Congress —are missing on the ballot papers for the Kano State House of Assembly by-election holding on Saturday, as reported by Arise News.
