AFRICA YOUNG LEADERS UNIVERSE has on 21st November, 2024 presented an award to Hon. Ado Dogo Audu as an ICON OF PEACE.
This award is in line with his SELFLESS SERVICE, and PEACE BUILDING in SOUTHERN KADUNA.

Hon. Ado Dogo Audu, was born over five decades ago at Gidan waya in the present Godogodo Chiefdom of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. His early years were glorious because he had a sound parenthood amidst elder brothers, sisters and a host of other relations who were all supportive.
Between 1973 and 1979, he attended L.E.A Central Primary School-Gidan waya where he successfully obtained the first school leaving certificate and immediately proceeded to Government Secondary Kafanchan in 1979 and finally sat for West African School Certificate Examination in 1984.
In line with the proverbial saying that a golden fish has no hiding place, though he was among the smallest in his class, the school authority found him suitable for the exalted position of Dining Hall Prefect whose performance was overwhelmingly commendable. He was later repositioned to serve as Game Prefect from the very moment the school authority attested to his expertise in sports.
His enthusiasm for acquiring more education propelled him to gain admission into the famous Federal School of Arts and Science, Suleja, Niger State in 1985, where he successfully obtained General Certificate of Education(GCE).
The story of this distinguished Nigerian cannot be completed without acknowledging his special talent in football which is a fulcrum for his grassroot acceptance and popularity. He is widely being called Ado Hot. A name that sourced its origin from his fastness on the touch line and his hot shots that goalkeepers and defenders detest.
His enterprising nature and spirit of team play were attributes that facilitated his rapid progress. He was found of being in the front line of any legitimate activity that had communal/ commercial value to the people. Suffice it to say that the aforementioned propelled him from ordinary trading through car dealership and gemstone prospecting to international business today.
It is against this backdrop, that in 1998 he won the seat of Member, Kaduna State House of Assembly Jema’a Constituency under the platform of UNCP but because of the sudden death of the then Head of State; Gen. Sani Abacha the election was nullified and made void. As the Fourth Republic was about kick start, Hon. Ado Dogo Audu brought the flag of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State and turns out to be the pioneer Chairman.
In reference to his stewardship as the PDP pioneer party Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area, he was further urged to aspire for the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to run for election to occupy the Jema’a/Sanga Federal constituency seat which he subsequently got it and won the 1999 general elections with a landslide victory.
Since reward for hard work is more work, his mandate for representation at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly Abuja was successively renewed in the 2003 and 2007 general elections respectively. This consummate politician, astute administrator, comrade and international business man incorporated All Trade World Wide Ltd- Abuja in 1998 and Chumbi Bureau De Change- Abuja in 2010 respectively.
He has been the Managing Director/CEO of the companies since inception till date. With increasing legislative and administrative responsibilities, he gained admission into the promising University of Abuja and obtained a Diploma in public administration (2002). Information available is indicative that he deferred an admission in a world class institution for further studies. Though he attended several courses both within and outside Nigeria.
Having consecutively served for three terms as Member, House of Representatives Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency the then Executive Governor of Kaduna State, H.E. Dr. Muktar Ramallan Yero picked in him to serve in the state Executive Council as Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Water Resources between 2013 and 2015.
Hon. Ado Dogo Audu was conferred with traditional titles in Godogodo and Ninzo Chiefdoms of Jema’a and Sanga Local Government Areas respectively. The tittles are as follows Garkuwan Godogodo and Kuyyanbannan Ninzo.
During his years as Member in the House of Representatives, he served as the sub-chairman Foreign Affairs and Asia-pacific-Committee between (1999-2003), Chairman House Committee on Army (2003-2007), Chairman-House Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity among many other parliamentary assignments.
Hon. Ado Dogo Audu’s contribution to peace building in Southern Kaduna particularly Godogodo Chiefdom his home cannot be overemphasized. If there’s anything the Distinguished Honorable prioritizes being a lover of growth and development is peace in the society. All those who knows him especially those from Gidan waya or anywhere within whenever Hon. Ado will relate on phone call, his first question is often; How is home? He is known for his simplicity and being very friendly and open to new friends. To make it very plain and clear, Hon. Ado Dogo Audu has severally mediate on a number of conflicts that would have triggered anarchy and hence take life to state of nature where barbarism, brutality will have its way. In 2015 he left Kaduna to Gidan waya to mediate the conflict that arouse between Youth and the Nigerian Army and years after he has been very instrumental to peace restoration Communities of southern Kaduna that were invaded by the Fulani herders and to the glory of God relative peace is currently been enjoyed in the affected Communities especially those of Jema’a Local Government Area.
Rt. Hon. Ado Dogo Audu has vast experience in travelling both within and outside this country. He has visited countries of almost all the different continents of the world on either legislative assignments or business engagements. To mention countries one after the other of which he did visited will take us the day day mentioning. To put the record straight, he has helped so many people to attend pilgrimage in Jerusalem and Mecca and did offered employment especially the youth in significant number into the Nigerian Army and other agencies and parastatals of the government. His contribution to education and critical social needs are very much.
