In a heartwarming display of kindness and generosity, activist and philanthropist VeryDarkMan recently visited the flood victims in Borno, Maiduguri, Nigeria, and donated 13 bags of rice, cash and other items to support their recovery efforts.

Each bag of rice cost N90,000 NGN, totaling a substantial contribution to the community.

During his visit, VeryDarkMan also had the honor of meeting with His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi CFR-FNSE, the Shehu of Borno. Despite the palace being affected by the flood, the ruler’s primary concern was the wellbeing of his people, with over 3,000 flood victims currently taking shelter in the palace and consuming over 30 bags of rice daily.

VeryDarkMan took to social media to share his experience and highlight the plight of the flood victims, calling for prayers and support for the people of Borno.

However, some individuals accused him of seeking clout, prompting a response from VeryDarkMan.

If I am chasing clout; you should also come and chase the clout in Maiduguri, he wrote. If you want to come, come and stop at Bakassi IDP camp with at least 10 bags of rice, I’ve already done 13 at N90,000 each, plus transportation. Let’s help those in need, not just chase clout.

HIS WORDS:
