BIOGRAPHY OF THE NEWLY INSTALLED ECWA PRESIDENT REV. DR. JOB AYUBA BAGAT MALLAM. 

The Inspiring Journey of Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat, ECWA’s New President.

A. Educational Background

Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam was born on January 15, 1964, in Bondon District, Moro’a Chiefdom, Kaura L.G.A, Kaduna State.

He completed his primary education at LEA Primary School Chika (1970-1976) and secondary education at Government Secondary School Daura (1976-1981).

He earned a Diploma in Physics Science Education from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (1983-1986) and a B.A in Theology Education from Jos ECWA Theological Seminary (1993-1996).

He also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education from the University of Jos and a Professional Certificate in Christian Education from the International Institute for Christian Studies, Kansas, USA (2002-2003).

Rev. Dr. Mallam later acquired an M.A in Theological Studies from Jos ECWA Theological Seminary (2003-2006), another M.A in Education from ECWA Theological Seminary Igbaja (2010-2012), and a Doctor in Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counselling from ECWA Theological Seminary Igbaja (2014-2017).

B. Educational Courses

Rev. Dr. Mallam completed several short-term educational courses, including a Diploma in Computer Studies from Rhema Redemption World Outreach, Kaduna (2009), a Post Graduate Certificate in Conflict Management from Reconciliation Trainers Africa Nigeria (2013), a Certificate in Introduction to Scientific Writing Skills from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa (October 2019), and a Certificate in Leadership from the Leadership Training Center, Mountain School Shere Hills, Jos (October 2007).

C. Prestigious Awards

Rev. Dr. Mallam has received several prestigious awards, including Best Graduate in B.A Theology Education Department at Jos ECWA Theological Seminary (JETS) in 1992; Award of Excellence as Principal of ECWA Secondary School Fadan Karshi by ECWA DCC Kafanchan in 2007; Special Award for his contributions toward affiliating a Diploma in Christian Religious Studies with A.B.U by Ayu Theological Seminary in 2002; Award of Excellence in the Advancement of the Gospel in Gidan Waya DCC by ECWA Goodnews Godogodo in 2017; Award of Merit for Selfless Service to ECWA Theological College, Gure as Rector in November 2021.

Rev. Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam is a highly trained pastor, teacher, lecturer, and administrator.

Throughout his career, he has developed a unique set of skills and experiences that enable him to effectively work with individuals of varied talents, temperaments, and disciplines. His collaborative approach emphasizes teamwork to achieve common goals.

Rev. Dr. Mallam is married to Mrs. Caroline Ayuba Bagat for 32 years and they are blessed with five children.
