Chocolate City Releases Star-Studded Cypher Featuring M.I Abaga, Ice Prince, Blaqbonez & More.
Legendary Nigerian record label Chocolate City Music has dropped a new single titled “Chocolate City Cypher” celebrating their 20th anniversary.
The cypher brings together iconic label artists old and new, including M.I Abaga, Ice Prince, Blaqbonez, Jesse Jagz, Loose Kaynon and AQ.
Produced by Chocolate City CEO Abuchi Peter Ugwu, the track pays homage to hip-hop roots while allowing the rappers to showcase their skills. M.I’s standout verse pays tribute to late artist Mohbad and calls out Oladips.
Founded in 2005 by Audu Maikori, Paul Okeugo and Yahaya Maikori, Chocolate City has been instrumental in launching the careers of many top Nigerian music stars over the past two decades such as M.I, Nosa, Dice Ailes, Brymo, DJ Lambo and more.
This all-star cypher brings together the label’s past and present to celebrate 20 years of Choc City’s cultural impact.
Fans are praising the new single and individual fiery verses from M.I Abaga, Ice Prince, Blaqbonez, Jesse Jagz, Loose Kaynon, AQ and producer Abuchi Peter Ugwu.
