The Chief Executive Officer of Xplorerpay, Fidwon Fidelis Israel has, in the early hours of Sunday, 31 December 2023 disclosed the temporal halt of services provided by the platform for maintenance purposes.
According to him, this development was necessary to enhance services and fortify the platform against cyber threats.
“XplorerPay remains your trusted hub for data, airtime, scratch cards, and cable subscriptions, but we have undertaken a temporary pause in operations.
“Our website, (http://www.xplorerpay.com), is currently undergoing important maintenance and security upgrades.
“This measure has been prompted by recent cyber attacks that have come to our attention. As a customer-centric organization, ensuring the safety and security of your data and transactions is our utmost priority.
“While this pause may cause temporary inconvenience, I wish to specifically state that it is the right step in safeguarding customers information and maintaining the integrity of our services.
“We really do understand the effects this may have on both our existing and prospective customers, and we sincerely would appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
“Be rest-assured that we are working round the clock to resume normal operations as soon as possible. Also, your accounts and data remain secure, and all necessary measures are being taken to mitigate any risks.
“I would like to encourage both existing and prospective customers to stay updated through our official communication channels (Facebook and WhatsApp platforms) for further updates regarding the resumption of services.“
