On Wednesday, a delegation led by Khalifa Muhammad Sanusi II, the former Emir of Kano and representative of President Bola Tinubu, met with General Abdourahmane Tchiani, the leader of the recent coup in Niger Republic.
The meeting took place in Niamey, the capital city, with a focus on addressing the ongoing political situation stemming from the recent coup in the nation.
This encounter follows the conclusion of the Economic Community of West African States’ seven-day ultimatum to the military junta, urging them to reinstate ousted President Muhammed Bazoum to his position, which expired on Sunday.
