President Bola Tinubu has withdrawn the nomination of Dr. Mariam Shetty, who was initially selected as a nominee from Kano State. In her place, he has chosen Mariya Mahmoud for the position.
Additionally, Tinubu has nominated Festus Keyamo, the former spokesperson for his presidential campaign council.
Earlier, on Wednesday, President Tinubu had sent a supplementary list of 19 nominees to complement the initial 28-man list sent on August 2.
However, the ministerial nomination of Maryam Shetty from Kano State continued to spark diverse reactions among Nigerians on social media, especially on Twitter.
