Read our interview section with him below and get to know the Aims, Achievements, Expectations, Future Plans of ‘Miss Nasarawa‘ & the Educational Background of Engr. Precious Bashayi.

BX: Sir can you tell us how you came up with the idea of starting this brand?

C.B PRECIOUS: Basically, I would say that I’m a passionate citizen of Nasarawa State, I birthed the idea of hosting the event when I got done with my NYSC in 2014, fortunately for me, my Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) was the Anambra Broadcasting Service which was mandated with hosting the Miss Anambra Beauty Pageant and I was part of the organizing committee.

While I got home, I tried to make Enquiries about Miss Nasarawa and got informed that the event was halted for sometime due to Government policies. So I wrote to the Ministry incharge i.e Ministry of Culture and Tourism through my Organization, The Tomorrow’s Youth Ambassadors (TYA) to grant us the hosting write of the event which eventually got the approval of the former Governor through the covering Commissioner at then.

BX: What year did Miss Nasarawa Pageantry began operation or was launched?

C.B PRECIOUS: We started in 2014 and we name it Miss Nasarawa/Nasarawa Youth Awards

BX: What are the aims?

C.B PRECIOUS: The purpose of the event is to showcase Nasarawa to the world, project our identity and lure people into visiting our dear state.
And also recognizing and awarding young people who have made the state proud in their various fields.

BX: Can we know what the organization has already achieved?

C.B PRECIOUS: We’ve produced beauty queens who have made Nasarawa proud locally and internationally. We have been able to cut the discrimination amongst tribes and religion in the state. And we hope to achieve a Nasarawa State where we all will live in Peace and Unity regardless where we come from or who we worship

BX: Can you tell us about the future plans and expectations?

C.B PRECIOUS: Our challengers are very peculiar, as a private organization shouldering Government’s responsibilities, we are left to get sponsors for our events, humanitarian activities and other pet projects we execute. But we are optimistic that the Government of His Excellency, Engr. Abdulahi A. Sule will be very supportive in our subsequent editions, especially the forthcoming Miss Nasarawa Beauty Pageant.

BX: We believed every organization has some challenges, so what are the challenges you’re facing or had faced?

C.B PRECIOUS: Our challengers are very peculiar, as a private organization shouldering Government’s responsibilities, we are left to get sponsors for our events, humanitarian activities and other pet projects we execute. But we are optimistic that the Government of His Excellency, Engr. Abdulahi A. Sule will be very supportive in our subsequent editions, especially the forthcoming Miss Nasarawa Beauty Pageant.

BX: If you wouldn’t mind, can we have a glance of your educational background?

C.B PRECIOUS: (laughs), I attended Glory and Praise International Primary School, Abuja, Mustard Seeds Nur/Primary School, Zion Baptist Primary School, Lafia and then Had my Secondary Education at Shepherds Intl’ College Akwanga, St John Bosco, Doma and Solid Rock Intl College, Lafia.
(More reason I laughed before answering)
I have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from the Prestigious Caritas University and currently undergoing my Masters in Communication Systems

BX: That’s quite amazing, I love this Thank!. Thank you much for your time. May God bless “Miss Nasarawa” .
