Shekx (The Vibe Machine) whose real name is Gimba Shekwolo Emmanuel is a singer, songwriter, part time producer and a rapper. He used to be a dancer. Shekx is a Gbagyi boy from Karu local government of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He was born in Akwanga, Nasarawa state to a polygamous family of 8 with him being the first from his mom with 2 siblings. He lost his dad and step mom in time span of 1 year, 1 month and 1day within 2018/2019. 
SHEKX got his first school leaving certificate from Demonstration Primary School, Akwanga, he then went to St. John Bosco Secondary School, Doma for his secondary education and SSCE. His love for music did not cloud his love for education, so the talented singer still went ahead and studied Theatre Arts/English Language at the Nasarawa State College of Education, Akwanga where he got his National Certificate in Education (NCE).
In 2019, he got admitted into the prestigious University of Jos to study Theatre and Film Arts where he is currently studying for his degree.
Shekx, who recently moved to Abuja from Nasarawa found his love for music a long time ago during his secondary school days where he used to mime gospel songs at F.C.S services and rallies. Initially a rapper when he decided to go into music fully around 2014, dropping songs Like Taba (which got massive airplay within and around Nasarawa state), Arewa, Black out, Lie, Pada and a host of other Hip Hop influenced songs, he decided to delve into the Afrobeats genre of music in 2018 where he dropped songs like Faraweymi, a song that was meant to tease the street but later became a hood hit.
At state level, Shekx has won various awards in recognition of his hardwork and dedication to his craft. However, he has vowed to try and win some more as he is not resting on his oars. 
Shekx is actually a versatile artiste in an upward trajectory as these days, the upcoming act jumps on various sounds in the Afrobeats genre ranging from Afropop to the Afrofusion subgenres. To declare his massive improvement in the understanding of his craft, he released a sweet Afro serenade “Soft” as he tries to lay a claim to the Afro world throne.”Soft” has so far enjoyed massive airplay within Nasarawa, Fct and their environs. He has other songs which are doing moderately well, the likes of “African lover”, ” Joanna”, “She” and a few others.
