Kaduna State College of Education theatre arts department produces DANCERS and not Actors and Actresses
It is regrettably sardonic that for over a decade the great Kaduna state college of education gidan waya started offering theatre arts and English as a combination they have failed to produce actors or actresses who have made headlines in the Nollywood industry.
You find out that what they do often is to dance, perform stage acting only during there projects without inviting notable directors in the movie industry’s like Tchidi chikere, Ernest Obi and lots more, I made a certain enquiry and I was told some of the lecturers even use the students for there own selfish interest, collecting contracts for chirography from government functions and using the students as dancers in those functions…
Defiantly talents are there and its the duty of the department to nurture them for Nollywood not just for dancing and chirography at government functions.
