Beloved,it is with great joy and gratitude to God Almighty that I welcome us all to the New year,2018.Indeed when we look back from were we are coming from and how far we have come,we can only but give thanks to the Almighty for sustaining us thus far.
Many would not forget the immediate past year,2017,in a hurry,with the untold hardship and sorrow meted out to the people by the state government and its draconian policies. Not a few families were faced with the shocking reality of having their means of livelihood and survival taken away from them,with the sack of their bread winners by the state government.
Again the senseless killings of innocent people in Southern Kaduna by fulani herdsmen, the endless cases of kidnappings and the inability of the state government to secure life and property of its citizens was a source of worry and concern in the past year.
We are faced with a government that has little or no regards for the wellbeing of its citizens,a government that has chosen to favour a few over and above the generality of its people,a government that lacks compassion and empathy,a government that lays claims to knowing it all.
Beloved,with the difficult and unfortunate circumstances that we are faced with in our dear Kaduna State,I bring you good news of hope. There is indeed light at the end of the tunnel.
The New year,2018, brings with it new opportunities.It is a year for us to close ranks and and work together towards ending the dictatorship and oppressive regime in our dear state. The New year provides us with an opportunity to reach out to our brothers and sisters over the need for everyone to take advantage of the on going voters registration exercise and register to vote and excersice their franchise come 2019.
Beloved,though weeping lasts for a night,joy comes in the morning. It will soon be morning for us in Kaduna State. Let us all join hands together to make the Kaduna of our dreams. It is achievable.
