Nassarawa-state-born artiste and B.A.N.S Nation signee, Terry Tha Rapman is set to kick start a movie project off his 2010 popularized music slogan, ‘Boyz Are Not Smiling’.

Partly based on his life and music career,  the movie will be shoot in collaboration with award-winning movie director, Imoh Umoren.

This is not the first time the Baby Boy rapper will be venturing into Nollywood as he has featured in two previous movies by Charles Novia.

Speaking to TINA JOWAH,  he stated: ” I can’t reveal the whole plot. It’s a hip-hop themed movie about a rapper leaving the North for Lagos in search of a record deal and making it big. He realises Lagos is not the city of dreams as it seems.

“I have had the idea for the story for years and I used my career as a template but we added some extra plots to make it more dramatic.

“I want to use the movie to show people that the showbiz world is not all peaches and cream. Nobody focuses on the blood sweat and tears before the success. People need to see that side not what media shows us all the time.

“Plus the boys are not smiling slogan which I came up with has been like strong brand amongst the Nigerian youth so we wanna reintroduce it to the new generation”, he said concerning the movie and what to expect.
