In a display of fiery anger, the Nigerian army in an armed invasion has reportedly destroyed no fewer than 5000 houses in Ajapa community and rendered 30,000 residents homeless in a reprisal attack following the killing of a soldier by militants in the riverine community.
Earlier in battle with a militant leader Ossy Ibori, a soldier was killed and three others gravely wounded. 
Irked by the sad development, the soldier stormed the community in heavy gunboats and unleashed terror causing many inhabitants to flee for their dear lives, DailyGlobeWatch reliably gathered.
Ibori, our source revealed, had been involved in vandalisation of pipelines in Ondo, Lagos, Ogun, Delta and Edo States was on the wanted list of the Joint Task Force, code-named “Operation Delta Safe”.
In a gun duel, our source revealed he was killed while many of his men sustained mortal injuries after a ding-dong battle in the creeks.
