The peace meeting was held on Saturday 22/04/2017 at the late Gidan-Waya District head resident in Baiya Gidan-Waya.

The meeting commences with a words of prayers from two people
– Hon. Sabo
– Mallam Musa
The opening remark/welcoming address was addressed by Hon. Ado where he welcomed all the dignitaries present.
On his brief speech he took his time and thank all the leaders i.e the traditional leaders, religious leaders and political leaders for a good job weldon in ensuring a peaceful coexistence between Fulani and residents of Jema’a L.G.A and Sanga L.G.A respectively. However, he urges all the dignitaries present and even those that weren’t present not to relax or be reluctant in ensuring that all the citizens of Jema’a L.G.A and its environs come together as one. He furthermore called on two people again the chief imam of Gidan-Waya and the head of Atuku ward to pray for the late Gidan-Waya District head family and the district at large.
Hon. Ado spoke on the peaceful coexistence which Gidan-waya was enjoying since January until the tragic occurance that broke out last week Monday where the lives of 3 people were lost. Meanwhile, all the heads of affected districts were given the chance to explain vividly on the breakout of crisis that occured in their respective districts where a Gada Biyu Fulani representative explained briefly on what happened to a Gada-Biyu hunter who left his home for hunting but unable to return back and no news of his whereabout was heard, the residents of Gada-Biyu pointed all hands to the Fulani people who are residing at Gada-Biyu saying they’re responsible for his disappearance.
A commotion in Atuku ward that occurred was also been discussed and resolved. Also, problems with Jagindi and Wasa districts were also looked upon, discussed and settled. In the same way the district head of Dele spoke on the commotion that happend in Dele and in Kario where the lives of its people were lost. He said this was caused by military personnel (infantry) who are expected to protect lives and properties but turned around and harm the residents.
The soldiers were also alleged to had taken away about 9 motorcycle that belongs to the residents but only returned few at a later time.
GIDAN-WAYA tragic incident that occured on Easter Monday the 17/04/2017 was also seriously discusssed where a man name Solo was murdered in cold blood on his farm land by gun men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen while his friend was badly injured. On the cause of this, angry and frustrated residents of Digabi blocked and killed two Fulani herdsmen, Hon. Ado attended all the demise people funerals where he was given assurance by both families that “All is well” and that nothing will happen, but for the concern of his people Ado was not satisfied with that assurance alone and tend to call for a quick general sitting to see that appropriate steps are taken to tackle the problem at hand and bring a lasting peace solution. He also delivered the Chief of Godogodo cheifdom message where the chief urges all the citizens both Christians and muslims to ensure that peace and normalcy is restored.
Alhaji Isah stated that “the parents of the demise Fulani men from Jos has bitterly called for Justice upon the people who murdered their beloved” adding that they will not take justice into their hands if the people responsible are brought to booked. On the other hand, the family of late Solo left everything that would be discuss to mallam Musa to handle during the meeting section.
In conclusion it was all agreed that a thorough investigation will be carriedout to ensure that all the killers from bothsides are being apprehended and in respect to this, the head of Digabi has been given the assignment to fish out the suspects since the Fulani herdsmen were killed within his territory while the Ardo of the vicinity where Solo was murdered was also being given same assignment fo find the killers of Solo even though he was not in during the meeting. It was also called upon everyone who has a hint on how they can easily catch up with the killers to also assist them.
Finally a 3 men committee was set up to go to the deceased persons families to comfort them and discuss the matter.
