An X (formerly Twitter) influencer identified as Dami Foreign has issued a public apology to Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage following backlash over posts referencing her son, Jamil Balogun.

The apology came hours after the singer publicly warned the influencer on Tuesday to desist from involving her child in online commentary, describing the action as crossing the line.

In a post addressed to the singer on X, Dami Foreign wrote, “Dear @TiwaSavage, I’m sorry if you got offended by some of the tweets I made about you. You must be very angry and hurt for you to have called me out. I want you to know that I don’t mean bad or de@th for you or your son.

“There are lots of positive tweets I’ve made about you that you’ve probably never seen I promise. It’s all love from this side. I sincerely apologize.”

The apology followed a warning from Savage after the influencer made a post on Tuesday referencing her son, writing,

“Omo, Why’s tiwa savage son frowning?”

Reacting, the award-winning singer cautioned him against further references to her child, stating,

“I dare you to post anything about my child again and THIS WILL MOVE BEYOND TWITTER.”

Checks by PUNCH Online show that the post about Savage’s son followed a pattern of repeated remarks by the influencer about the singer over an extended period.

On January 3, 2026, Dami Foreign had posted, “Make we forget hype, tiwa savage don Dey old o.”

Earlier, on September 23, 2025, he wrote, “It’s sad how Tiwa Savage fell off after Wizkid cut her off.”

In another post dated May 19, 2025, the influencer said, “Tiwa savage no know sey she don old?”

Responding further, Savage accused the influencer of sustained attacks and alleged that he had previously made harmful remarks about her.

“You see that I never cared about your paid agenda to bring me down and you’ve been doing it for a long time. You talking about my child is crossing the line,” she wrote.

She added,”Dami with my FULL CHEST e no go better for you. You even posted that you wanted me to die young…. Back to sender.”

In a separate post, the singer appeared to dismiss the influencer’s continued focus on her, stating,”The obsession with me is loud but your relevance is missing.”

The exchange generated widespread reactions on X, reigniting conversations around cyberbullying, online harassment and the limits of what is often described as Nigeria’s social media “banter culture,” particularly when minors are involved.
