Good morning, world. Here is today’s summary from Nigerian Newspapers; things you need to know 

‎1. The Nigeria Police Force has resumed the enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit policy pending the final determination of the matter currently before the court. The police said the decision followed a careful review of emerging security concerns and the need to ensure the safety of all citizens.

2. The Senate has condemned the multiple budget implementations in a fiscal year by the federal government, as experienced in 2025, saying the practice is unacceptable to Nigerians and must be normalised from next year. The chairman of the Committee on Finance, Senator Sani Musa, APC, Niger East, expressed his displeasure on Monday.

Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has demanded that the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede, immediately recuse himself from any role in the investigation or prosecution against him, insisting that the anti-graft agency can no longer handle the matter impartially or lawfully.

The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has debunked as false claims and insinuations making the rounds on social media, alleging that its C-130 aircraft, currently being held in Burkina Faso, was forced to land on suspicion of espionage. It also dismissed reports that the eleven crew members and engineering personnel onboard the aircraft were intelligence officers/specialists trained in espionage activities.

5. An elderly man, identified as Ladan Zubairu, was killed at Yusuf Garko Mosque in the Maraba Quarters area of Kano on Monday morning. It was gathered that the suspect behind the killing was immediately pursued by an angry mob and lynched, while his residence was set ablaze, causing panic in the area before security personnel restored order.

6. President Bola Tinubu held a closed-door meeting with the Service Chiefs at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday evening. The session began around 6:01 pm local time, with the security chiefs arriving at the forecourt before being ushered into the President’s office.

7. The Niger State Police Command says it has arrested six suspects for offences bordering on arms dealing, kidnapping, unlawful possession of ammunition and phone snatching, among others. The command’s Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, noting that the suspects were arrested during multiple operations across the state.

8. Delta State Police Command says it has arrested over 627 suspects and recovered 144 firearms, including 27 AK-47/AK-49 rifles, in one year. The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, disclosed this on Monday at the police headquarters in Asaba.

9. The Supreme Court has held that the President has constitutional power to declare a state of emergency in any state to prevent a breakdown of law and order. The apex court, in a a majority ruling on Monday, affirmed the President’s authority under the Constitution to proclaim a state of emergency.

10. Nigeria’s Headline inflation has dropped to 14.45% in the month of November, according to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS. The report said the figure reduced from the October 2025 headline inflation rate of 16.05%.
