Social Media Activist Verydarkman Reveals No Money Was Lost from His NGO

Popular social media activist Martins Vincent, widely known as Verydarkman (VDM), has clarified that no money was lost from his NGO, contrary to an earlier announcement. This revelation has sparked mixed reactions among his supporters and critics.

The Initial Announcement

A few days ago, VDM shocked his followers by announcing that hackers had compromised his NGO’s website, allegedly stealing ₦180 million donated by well-meaning individuals. He further revealed that one suspect had been arrested while another had fled to Ghana, but ₦78 million had been recovered. In a bid to retrieve the remaining funds, VDM mentioned plans to travel to Ghana to track down the fugitive.

Public Backlash and Accusations

Following the announcement, social media erupted with reactions. While some sympathized with him, others harshly criticized and insulted him. Critics labeled him a “scammer,” “thief,” and “fraud,” accusing him of feigning a noble cause to exploit the poor and oppressed.

The Truth Unveiled

In a surprising turn of events on December 31st, VDM addressed the controversy, declaring that no money was stolen and the NGO website was never hacked.

According to him, the earlier announcement was a deliberate ploy to gauge the reactions of both his supporters and critics.

To substantiate his claim, VDM displayed the bank statement of the NGO account, revealing all transactions and proving the funds were intact.

Mixed Reactions

The revelation has sparked widespread debate.

Some have applauded VDM for his transparency and strategy to unmask pretentious supporters, while others continue to question his methods, considering them unnecessary and potentially harmful to his credibility.

This also underscores the importance of transparency in building trust. Kudos to Verydarkman for addressing the controversy head-on and clearing the air about the NGO’s finances.

Whether his strategy was effective or counterproductive remains a topic of discussion, but one thing is certain VDM knows how to keep people talking.
