Peller’s management has been working diligently to secure his release. The Inspector General of Police previously stated that individuals without license plates would face arrest.
We respectfully request the Inspector General’s clemency for Peller, given his youth, and ask for his immediate release. This plea is made on Peller’s behalf by Tunde Perry, following his arrest and detention by the police two days prior.
Recall that the Tiktoker, Peller, clashed with some police officers in Lagos state this evening for allegedly driving a vehicle without a plate number.
The Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, ordered police officers to arrest anyone found driving a vehicle without a plate number or driving with their plate number covered.
This evening, Peller was driving when he was stopped the officers driving a car without a plate number on it. Peller had explained that he recently purchased the car and had not registered it, so a plate number had not been issued for
Things, however, took a different turn after Peller began recording his interaction with the police officers. He claimed the officers became hostile to him. He alleged that one of the officers dragged his shirt and even pointed a g$n at him.
