Popular con artist Harrison Gwamnishu has finally issued a public apology to individuals he reportedly offended and owed money, following weeks of public criticism and controversy.
In a video lasting 5 minutes and 53 seconds, Harrison openly admitted to making several mistakes, especially in handling funds that were entrusted to him. He acknowledged that he failed to provide proper accountability and took responsibility for his actions.
During the apology, Harrison expressed deep regret to a lady who reportedly gave him ₦600,000 to investigate an alleged case involving a reverend father who was accused of holding a young boy in his house. According to him, he did not handle the matter properly and apologized for the disappointment caused.
He also apologized to a man identified as Franklin, whom he admitted to duping of over ₦4 million. Harrison explained that the money was given to him under the promise that he would help resolve a land dispute. However, he confessed that he failed to fulfill that promise and instead lied while keeping the money.
However, it was also revealed that Harrison has deleted two videos he posted on January 2nd, 2026, where he attempted to explain what transpired between him and Franklin. In those videos, he allegedly dragged Mr. Tony, falsely claiming that Tony was the person he handed over the more than ₦4 million meant to resolve Franklin’s land dispute.
This claim was later debunked after VeryDarkMan (VDM) released a phone call conversation between Tony and Franklin, in which Mr. Tony clearly confirmed that he had no involvement whatsoever in the matter. Following this revelation, Harrison’s explanation video was widely described online as fabricated and misleading, leading to its eventual deletion.
Harrison also deleted another explanatory video concerning the lady who gave him the ₦600,000, as he was accused of making several false claims in that video as well.
Speaking further on VeryDarkMan, Harrison said he holds him in high esteem, stating that from day one he has never seen VDM as a bad person. He acknowledged that VDM had done a lot for him in the past and often called him privately to inform him about complaints against him, advising him to resolve issues amicably.
The apology video has since generated mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians demanding full accountability and refunds, while others believe the apology is a step toward accepting responsibility.
As the situation continues to unfold, the public awaits to see whether further actions will follow Harrison Gwamnishu’s apology.
