According to reports, Emmanuel had sent Jennifer N30,000 to cover her transportation costs to his residence. However, after receiving the money, she allegedly refused to show up as agreed. Feeling cheated, Emmanuel approached the court to seek justice.

The influence of content creator GehGeh has been evident among many Nigerian men, following a new viral video that captured the case. In the trending clip, Emmanuel took Jennifer to court after she allegedly collected ₦30,000 for transport fare but failed to visit him.

A court session was arranged to hear from both parties, and after several arguments at the magistrate court, Jennifer was fined ₦450,000 for taking the money without showing up. Reports also claimed that failure to pay the ₦450,000 compensation could result in a seven-year prison sentence for her.

Sharing the clip, an X influencer identified as Peace Ighodaro wrote: “She was sued just because she collected 30k from guy for Tfare and didn’t show up. Now she’s to pay N450k as damages. 😢💔.”

The ruling has sparked wide debate online, with some people saying it serves as a warning to those who exploit others, while others feel personal matters like this should not end up in a court of law.
