Obadiah Dei recently stumbled upon a 7-year-old barber prodigy in Lafia who left him stunned.

Despite initial skepticism, Shehu confidently assured him by saying, ‘Sit down, I can do it for you’ and of course he delivered a haircut that surpassed his boss’s expertise. Talent knows no age

READ MR. OBADIAH WORDS BELOW…

On Friday evening, I had a surprising experience when I went to the barbershop to get a haircut. Upon entering, I saw a small boy, around 6 or 7-year-old, cutting another boy’s hair. In a polite tone, I asked him where his boss was. The boy replied that his boss had stepped out but would be back shortly. Since this barber had been my go-to whenever I’m in Lafia, I decided to wait.

While waiting, the young boy finished cutting the hair of the other customer. He then asked me if I was there to cut my hair as well, to which I replied yes. He offered to cut it for me, and I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. I said,

“No, thanks”, as I was a bit skeptical. But he persisted, asking if I wanted to change my hairstyle. I told him no, and he confidently assured me he could handle it, even saying in Hausa language, “ka zauna zan iya maka”, meaning, “Sit down, I can do it for you”.

At that moment, I thought to myself, “Is this haircut my destiny that if the style mises it will affect me? What’s the worst that could happen?”. I figured if there was a mistake, I could just ask him to shave it all off a skull. Besides, everyone has to learn through practice, right? So, I took a seat, and he had to find a stool to balance his height to reach my head properly.

To my amazement, this young boy did an incredible job. In fact, he cut my hair better than his boss ever had! It’s incredible how talented and crafted children can be, and yesterday, I met one of them named Shehu in my area.
