Sevilla sporting director, Victor Orta has revealed Kelechi Iheanacho showed great determination by joining the club.
The Rojiblancos signed the Nigeria international on a free transfer last week.
Iheanacho left Premier League club, Leicester City in June following the expiration of his contract.
The 27-year-old was courted by a number of clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia but opted to join the former UEFA Europa League champions.
Orta confessed Iheanacho showed a lot of will to join the club.
“We always work with several options, there was a moment when Iheanacho showed a lot of will to come and that made us speed up,” Orta told the club’s official website.
“The people around him saw a lot of possibility of success in the Spanish league and I am very happy about that. .”
