Kaduna, typically known for its bustling roads, has come to a standstill as protesters flood the streets to voice their discontent with the poor living conditions in the state.

The once-thriving Ahmadu Bello Way, a major artery in the Central Business District, now lies eerily empty, devoid of its usual vehicular and human traffic.

The protests have brought the city to a halt, highlighting the urgent need for improved living conditions in Kaduna. As residents demand change, the deserted streets serve as a stark reminder of the grievances that need to be addressed.

On a normal day, this place would have been bubbling with economic activities by this time, but not at all today.

Public transportation systems are operating at reduced capacity because most commuters are staying indoors apparently due to fear.

As the protests continue to unfold,  many shops and businesses around Junction Road, Ahmadu Bello Way, Sabon Tasha,  Kawo, and Mando have closed their doors as a precautionary measure.

Traders and vendors have opted to stay away from markets and trading centers due to the planned protest.

This decision aims to ensure their safety and protect their goods and properties from potential damage or looting.

Security personnel have been deployed to strategic locations and identified flash points to maintain order and protect the citizens and even the protesters in the event they come out.

Police are working to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for all.
