Barcelona midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan, is set to return to Manchester City this summer.
Gundogan only left the Premier League champions as a free agent last year.
Barca senior officials are open to selling the 33-year-old, in a bid to ease their financial issues.
With Gundogan available in the market, City manager Pep Guardiola has all but given his green light for his return.
This was revealed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on his X account on Monday.
Romano wrote: “Manchester City have made contact with Ilkay Gündogan’s camp over potential return for German midfielder.
“City and Pep Guardiola are open to considering Gündo’s comeback.
“Barça wants Gündogan to leave… and he also received approaches from Qatar, Saudi and more clubs.”
