Four officers of the Nasarawa State Police Command will face disciplinary action for assaulting and extorting a student of the Federal University of Lafia, FULafia, George Agera.
Agera had lodged a complaint over the incident on Wednesday which was acted upon promptly by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel.
The incident occurred on Tuesday August 20 in Gandu, an off-campus area harboring students of FULafia.
As n-Mirror reliably gathered, the sum of ₦37,500 extorted has also been recovered and handed over to the victim at the state’s Police Headquarters in Lafia on Thursday afternoon.
The erring officers are undergoing an internal investigation and will be held accountable for their actions, sources, confirmed.
