Sports statistics company, Opta, has highlighted that only two Serie A players past and present boast a superior minutes-per-goal ratio compared to Nigeria and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.

The findings come amid concerns about the former Lille of France’s market value and quality, particularly due to difficulties in finding a European club willing to pay his huge release clause.

Negotiations between Napoli and PSG for the player’s transfer have reportedly stalled.

Napoli want Lee Kang-in included in the deal or a payment of between €120 million and €130 million.

The PSG, however, are not willing to include Kang-in and are not ready to pay the full release clause amount.

This impasse has raised questions about Osimhen’s value and status.

In a recent post on X, Opta said that only former Brazil international Ronaldo Nazário and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo have a better minutes-per-goal ratio than the Nigerian international.

“Only Cristiano Ronaldo (one goal every 104 minutes) and Ronaldo (one goal every 117 minutes) have a better minutes-per-goal average than Victor Osimhen (one goal every 125 minutes) in Serie A since the 1994/95 season, with at least 10 goals,” he said.
