The Youth Against Drug Abuse, Prevention and Rehabilitation Network (YAAPREN) is a passionate initiative born out of compassion to sensitize, train and advocate attitudinal change on Youths who has been captured by the drug addicts, and see drugs as a means of navigating out of pressures of life, like hardship, failure, rejections, etc and think clinging to drugs will ease their mind and soothe their pain.

The YAAPREN aims at  bringing scour by way of sensitizing, training, advocating, rehabilitating, empowering, Youths to be more determined in becoming ambassadors of tomorrow’s change.

The YAAPREN mission is to have a society of zero tolerance to drugs, a society where the Youths becomes agents of change across globe in issues around drugs use and administration in any form.

Our Vision
▪️To work towards stopping and eradicating drug use among African youths.

Our Mission
To see an Africa that has zero tolerance to drug use.

Our Objectives
▪️To support, advance and amplify struggles against drug use among African youths.
▪️To provide a platform for sharing ideas and information on issues bordering on drug use and addiction among the youths.
▪️To work effectively with  and support the work of NAFDAC, ECOWAS and African Government on drug eradication in Africa.
▪️ To work on implementing the SDGs(3) on strengthen, prevention and treatment of substance abuse and other related issues.
▪️To build a strong coalition with other CSO, NGOs with like minds and rehabilitation centers to fight drug use and other social vices.

To fight towards stopping drug use and addiction, YAANET will adopt the following strategies:

Nwanya Veronica Ifeoma (Treasurer, YAAPREN) is also the Coordinator of African Women Water Sanitation and Hygiene Network(AWWASHNet) a network of women activist and women led organizations in the water,sanitation and hygiene sector in Africa.

Roving Ambassador,State of African Diaspora (SOAD) and ECOWAS Youth Ambassador Jamezany James is our Consultant and a very passionate advocate for Youths development and anti-drug abuse amongst African Youths
