Lafia City Music Festival #LCMF™️ aims to unite all and sundry through music, discover and promote talented youths (Music, Comedy, Dance, Fashion/Pageantry, Poetry/Painting, Magic, Culinary Arts [Best Chef 🧑🍳 in the City], Freestyle Football), amongst other.
#LCMF™️ plans to feature a lineup of artistes within and outside Nasarawa State, as well as showcase our local dishes, traditional dancers, traditional games and other cultural activities. Additionally, #LCMF™️ will be showcasing the best of Lafia’s music scene, with genres ranging from Afrobeats, Hip hop, Highlife, Gospel, and more.
Headliners for the Music Festival shall be our own indigenous Artistes based at home or outside the state.
There will be a TALENT HUNT COMPETITION for different categories such as solo, duo, band, rap, and dance or as mentioned above.
The Judges will be drawn from within and outside the state with a live audience to vote for the winners. Star 🌟 prize and Consolation prizes to be given to the Winner 🏆 , 1st 🥇 and 2nd 🥈 runner ups.
Line up activities shall include;
1. Sensitisation/Awareness Campaign against Antibiotic Resistance (AMR), Drug Abuse, Drug Misuse and Drug Addiction.
2. Awareness Campaign against Sexually Transmitted Diseases/Infections (STDs/STIs), Preventive Measures, Poor Hygiene and Public Health.
3. Paper presentation on the Menace of Internet Fraud (YAHOO) and HOOKUPS Amongst Young Persons.
4. Paper presentation on “University Certificate alone is NOT Enough: The Need to Acquire Soft Skills”.
