An Inspector belonging to the 62 Police Mobile Force (PMF) in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, has been apprehended by the Nigeria Police Force on the attempt to murder a fellow officer.
The identity of the Inspector, as repor is Moses Paul, it is claimed that the Inspector had tried to murder his duty partner, inspector Simnawa Paul. His aim was to kill him and get his rifle so as to sell the rifle.
A law enforcement insider who provided a video clip featuring the suspected murderer Inspector restrained by handcuffs and leg restraints expressed dismay over the distressing incident.
While acknowledging the exposure of the l Inspector, the police source emphasized the need for heightened responsibility within the police force.
In a video lasting one minute and thirty seconds, which BestXplorer has obtained, a police officer can be heard referring to the Inspector as “the cruelest individual” while talking to the other suspects saying, “a police officer was killed and the rifle brought to you and you willingly bought it” other was heard saying that one of the suspect is the NURTW secretary.

A SERVING POLICE OFFICER (INSPECTOR) ARRESTED FOR AN ATTEMPT TO KILL HIS COLLEAGUE IN KAFANCHAN.
The attention of the Kaduna State Police Command has been drawn to a viral video on the social media space where it is alleged that a serial police killer who is also a Police Officer have been arrested. However, in order to constrict the flow of misinformation, the Command wish to set the records straight.
A distress situation on the 16th June, 2023 at about 1930 hours occurred at the Police Mobile Force base of 62 Squadron Kafanchan, Kaduna where a certain Inspector Moses Paul attempted to kill his duty partner Inspector Simnawa Paul.
The incident which transpired while the two were on duty at the said base led Inspector Moses Paul to strangle, using a rope, the neck of his unsuspecting colleague. The victim was however rescued by two other Police Officers who’s attention were drawn by his cries.
Preliminary inquiries reveals the primary motive was in attempt to cart away Inspector Simnawa Paul’s rifle while the the remote cause of action will be ascertained at the end of the full scale investigation during which the culprit will be facing both disciplinary and legal proceedings.
