Israel Adesanya, a Nigerian-born UFC fighter, has professed his love and admiration for his fellow Nigerians.
In a recent episode of the Hotboxin podcast, however, Adesanya also acknowledged Nigeria’s corruption problem, describing it as a “very corrupt place.”
He went on to explain how the government and some individuals constantly seek to embezzle funds from the country’s coffers and swindle others.

Adesanya also lamented the red tape that often stifles progress in Nigeria. Despite these challenges, Adesanya remains devoted to his country and its people.
In a recent bout, he defeated his old rival, Alex Pereira, to reclaim the middleweight title at UFC 287 in Miami.
