Eggonnews, a community newspaper that has been serving its readers for over two decades, has appointed Eric Kuju as its new Chief Editor.
Eric takes over the reins from his father, Chief Matthew Kuju, who founded the newspaper in April 1999 and has been at its helm ever since.
As the new Chief Editor, Eric will be responsible for overseeing the newspaper’s content, ensuring that it continues to provide its readers with accurate, informative, and engaging news stories.
With over a decade of experience in Journalism and a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Jos, Plateau State, Eric is well equipped for the job.
Eric’s appointment comes at a time when the media industry is undergoing significant changes, with digital platforms increasingly becoming the preferred means of accessing news and information.
In this context, Eric’s expertise in both traditional and digital journalism will be invaluable in ensuring that Eggonnews remains relevant and accessible to its readers.
Despite the challenges facing the media industry, Eggonnews has remained a trusted source of news and information for its readers, thanks in no small part to the dedication and hard work of its founding Chief Editor, Chief Matthew Kuju.
As Eric takes over the role, he will build on his father’s legacy and work to ensure that Eggonnews continues to thrive in the years to come.
Eric on the other hand has taken it to social media to appreciate and thanks all those who have send in their congratulatory message, promised not to take the opportunity given to him for granted. He assured everyone that he will put in his best to making sure that readers and advertisers are treated with high esteem.

Last I checked, there were 941 comments under this post. 941!!! 941 persons wishing me well as I enter into this new role. And there are other posts like this!
I am not taking them for granted and I am very grateful.
I am not under any illusion about the big shoes I’m stepping into but I must confess that I only started coming to terms with the magnitude of what was happening when your congratulations started rolling in.
I must specially appreciate my father and mentor, Mr. Matthew Kuju for the confidence reposed in me. Your work over the years has ensured that it is very difficult (impossible even) to replace you. I’m happy to still enjoy your guidance.
I pray God grants me the wisdom, strength and resources to move Eggonnews to greater heights to cover new grounds.
I covet your prayers and all kinds of support as we forge ahead. Remember, it is your patronage that will keep the media going so always READ and ADVERTISE on Eggonnews.
Once again I’m grateful especially to Faith Maji , Nasarawa Mirror, Queen Jessica Emmanuel, Vom Old Boys Association-VOBA, Rotji Sunday and many others who shared the news, commented under posts, sent text messages and called.
This whole appreciation feels insufficient to convey the feelings in my heart but I hope the message has been passed.
Mevye!!!
