Comrade David Mamman Ambi was born on the 25th day of May 1979 in Gidan Waya of Jema’a Local Government Area, Southern Kaduna Senatorial District of Kaduna State, into the humble family of Reverend Mamman Ambi.
Been a son to a Reverend, Comrade was brought up with distinct moral ethics and the passion to stand upright amongst his peers as his late father Rev Mamman Ambi was known for throughout his lifetime as Reverend in ECWA Church and also as a Teacher who retired as a Director from the Ministry of Education, Kaduna State.
David’s Educational journey started in 1986 when he was admitted into L.E.A Primary School Gidan Waya from the year 1985 to 1990, he then proceeded to Mada Hills Secondary School, Akwanga in Nasarawa state from 1991 to 1997.
In preparation for higher education, he attended the School of Basic Studies also known as IJMB run by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1999 which earned him an admission into Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria to obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics between 2001 and 2005. He further obtained M.Sc. Economics from Nasarawa State University.
Comrade David Mamman Ambi began his Career in 2006 in the Ministry of Finance Umuahia, Abia State as part of his primary assignment during the obligatory National Youth Service (NYSC) service year. After his National Youth Service, his leadership potentials begun to manifest when he was asked to contest against a councilor who was contesting for third term against the wishes of the people. He took a very bold step to contest for the office of a Councilor under the platform of PDP and was rigged out because of the powers that be. This obvious, bold and outstanding performance as well as his grassroot mobilization towards the success of the then elected Executive Chairman late Hon. Bar. Gideon Yakubu Morick, he was appointed as an adviser to the Chairman between 2007 and 2009. In 2011 Comrade Ambi contested for a seat of Kaduna State House of Assembly under the platform of ACN and lost.
His political experience was expanded when he joined the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) in 2012 and was posted to Lagos Island branch, in his quest to protects the interest of people and serve humanity, he contested and won an election to became the ASSBIFI -NSITF pioneer coordinator of Lagos Island Branch. Satisfied with his performance he was elected to become an Assistant Secretary of Association of Senior Staff of Banks Insurance and Financial Institutions (ASSBIFI) – NSITF DOMESTIC Unit and became part of the Executive Arm from 2015 to 2020, As the saying goes, the results of hardwork is more work He eventually contested and won election to became the Treasurer of the same Association. He is also the Financial Secretary of NSITF Multipurpose Cooperative Association.
Com David Ambi humanatarian services cut across various sectors with special attention to helping the widows for several years, which has become an anannual event.
Comrade David Mamman Ambi is a business consultant and also a member of several Professional bodies among is the National Institute of Management NIM and is also about to be inducted in to the prestigious Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
He is married to Mrs. Evelyn David Ambi and the marriage is blessed with 2 beautiful Daughters.
