I DIDN’T WANT TO TALK SINCE NOT BECAUSE I ENJOYED IT BUT BECAUSE I WAS HOPING AND PRAYING FOR A CHANGE.
I HAVE DECIDED TO SPEAK OUT AND TO BE FREE FROM EVERY INHUMANE TREATMENT.
I AM SPEAKING OUT NOT TO BE A WINNER AGAINST MY HUSBAND, BUT FOR A LASTING PEACE.

In 2017 June 3rd I got married to John Douglas Benjamin, who is also known as Llyord dexterous. After the wedding, I discovered he ran into a lot of debts according to him he wanted to have a loud wedding and he expected that the turn out from people’s presence will make him recover all that had spent loaned.
The pressure from the caterer (Hasotel), and the hall decorator (bigbird) and other people he was owing made him restless. I for one is a simple person who advised him to do a low key wedding because there’s a life after wedding.
After the wedding, he was paying his debts gradually and became so frustrated and started transferring aggression on me.
Two months later he beat the hell out of me that almost left my left eyes damaged, he took me to Niger opticals in makurdi where I was treated all along I was indoors and my mom came around.
My mom came and saw how badly I was injured and she, was not happy yet felt I should forgive since my husband begged and said he wouldn’t want to do it again that it was the devil’s work.
Not long, I took in for my first son around August same year, I suffered starvation, maltreatment and abuse…I endured all that just because I was too ashamed to speak out.
One thing led to the other, I noticed he started keeping late nights, he picks and talks to numerous and random girls and books appointment with them, while with the pregnancy I confronted him and he got angry and said I dare not speak to him about his life, as at that time, his younger brother VICTOR was in makurdi schooling, he witnessed what had happened.
So he told his brother to take my load to lafia, and the brother took those loads while I was still in his house.
I didn’t have a choice I left and stayed with my parents till I have birth to my son.
While I was in my father’s house his ex girlfriend Helen Light parked into the house and was staying, according to my neighbors she parked in and they were leaving as couple.

I was in lafia with my child and stayed for about 3months then I got back to makurdi after he came to beg.
Just after a month, I went to the market and I had an accident which affected my right leg… I had an x-ray in Del scan makurdi while I battled alone, meanwhile my husband was at Ebonyi State.
During that time I knew everything happening around me wasn’t ordinary so I located a ministry just close to my house to pray and see how peace will be restored into my life.
This ministry was Elohim fire ministry, the pastor’s name was Apostle Michael Akor Hassan. Prophesies were released and the pastor sincerely was becoming unnecessarily close which I try as much as possible to avoid…he sent me text messages (love) and other flirty messages, meanwhile my husband was not still around.
Note: PASTOR HASSAN AND I NEVER HAD ANY CONTACT WITH BODY.
I HAVE NEVER CHEATED ON MY HUSBAND NOT WHILE WE WERE DATING NOR WHILE I MARRIED HIM.
My husband asked me to give him space to fix things so I left again to lafia and he made a case with the pastor which led to him apologising to my husband and all…
Mrs Rita Ohegam Ade is fully aware of all this and is also a member with the ministry.
While I was in lafia, I was with my son alone in my father’s house and i wanted to just start my life afresh.
My husband sent emissaries to beg my parents and apologize for the lies and that he knows I can’t cheat he just wanted to teach any man that talks to his woman a lesson. Note, HE IS A VERY JEALOUS SOMEBODY.

Before my dad died, he told me that, I should not go back to JOHN DOUGLAS BENJAMIN that he regrets giving me out to him cos he didn’t know he is dubious as they way he is now seeing him.
I just thought to give the Marriage a chance and try so that my son will not grow from a broken home.
Just a month after my dad died and was buried I took in for the second baby.
There’s no maltreatment I didn’t receive. I was beaten, starved and abused.
Most times he goes out and come home with a takeaway park for just him and his son.
I will be in the room hungry.
Any day my neighbor give me food he throws it away. There was a day he pushed me to the toilet where he defeacated and said I will eat the poo. Amarachi Ameh is my neighbor unless she doesn’t want to speak out. People like Esther A Paul knows unless she doesn’t want to talk.
I suffered until nine months where I was due yet was weak.
On one occasion of my ante natal doctor said I won’t be able to push because I’m too weak.
So he gave me days to see if labour would come. That week I gave birth to my second baby I was so hungry that I met with my husband’s friend’s wife Susan Idu she gave me some food items and I got home.
My husband waited till midnight and asked me to take the food out to where I got it from.. so I went out in that middle of the night and was wondering where to go to. While I was going I met with Mrs Esther Paul. Who rescued me and then I ran into labour. I labour from Friday to Sunday and was operated upon.
Just after I was discharged, I got home and the mall treatment began. A nursing mother and a new mom does not have food to eat and I was battling with the suture pain and all.
There was a day he beat me because I didn’t take my son to school, that day I wasn’t feeling fine.
I endured it all.

After he had beaten me beyond what I could ever imagine, I left for lafia June 28th 2021. I left with just my 3months old baby and I left my first son with him, the reason was because I didn’t know how and where to start with, with two kids. My mom is just a poor widow still mourning and look at me…I haven’t even healed from the C’s pains.
But I came home, I stayed and still manage to heal anyhow. I was determined to just end the Marriage for my own peace sanity and for my babies.
John Douglas Benjamin was at it again, he came with Proff Chibueze and two of his friends to beg.
First, I chased him out of my father’s house. My mom came and begged not to be angry but no one knew how this man has wrecked me.
He left and spoke to two of my uncle’s to please, come and beg me return. My uncle’s demanded his family should come for a reconcilation and non of them, not even his brothers could come.
He was all FRUSTRATED and sorry so they pitied him and took him by his promise since he said he won’t hit or beat me again.
And I got back, in January 15th 2022. I got a teaching job and the pay is just 17k yet I manage.
I expected that, at Least by month end he should add his own then I contribute mine too, to see how we can at least not go hungry especially my kids.
From January till date I feed him with his kids I don’t complain, but anytime I don’t have the kids go hungry and I am almost crying to see innocent Children being punished by their dad.
If he manage to buy any small food, he will give me an order not to touch it.
Two weeks ago I dressed up the kids to his office to at least make him buy them anything. He took the first baby and left me with the second baby.
I met with his colleague and explained quietly, my plight and how mu husband has been behaving.
She took out time to tell me he is on LOAN FROM DIFFERENT COOPERATIVES AND CBN DEMANDED THAT THOSE CIVIL SERVANTS WHOSE TAKE HOME PAY CAN NOT REACH 1OK SHOULD BE SUSPENDED.

Now, by this time, he felt I came to disgrace him. Meanwhile it wasn’t my intent if he had told me and if he was opened.
He went as far as calling and reporting to people who want to hear that I don’t clean, mop and I don’t take care of the kids.
My mom called me on Friday, three days or four days ago to explain what my husband had complained about. I told her it’s not true. But in other to confirm when he comes home, I will put a call across to him so he can say what he earlier told her.
Just not up to ten minutes, he got back and I called my mom… immediately he saw I was speaking WITH HER, HE HELD MY THROAT, AND WAS CHOKING ME, HE WAS HOLDING THE SECOND BABY IN HIS ARM SO HE THREW THE BOY AWAY!
AND USED HIS HEAD TO ‘HEADBOOT’ ME!
THAT WAS WHAT LED TO MY BLEEDING FACE…MY NEIGBORS CAME TO MY RESCUE AND TOOK ME AWAY.
NOTE: THIS IS TO COUNTER THE FALSE ALEGATIONS LABELLED ON ME ON ADULTERY, THREATS AND ABUSE.
JOHN DOUGLAS BENJAMIN, IS TURNING THE STORY AROUND.
HE HAS IN ONE TIME AROUND 2019 REPORTED A CASE OF THREAT AGAINST ME, WHILE I WAS THE VICTIM. HE TOLD THE POLICE I MUST WRITE AN UNDERTAKING. I WAS SO NAIVE AND SCARED COS MY FIRST SON WAS JUST 7MONTHS OLD.
I WAS FORCED TO WRITE THE UNDERTAKING AND HE IS USING IT AGAINST ME.
HE HAS TOLD ME HE DOESN’T EVER BELIEVE IN DIVORCE, BUT DEATH WILL TAKE ONE OF US.
