Interested applicants for various positions should note the following:
PROFESSOR
Interested applicants must possess a B.A/B.Sc./MBBS and Fellowship Part II with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, M.A./M.Sc. and Ph.D. and with at least twelve (12) years of continuous teaching and research at the University level.
Applicants must show evidence of scholarship and track record of outstanding research with a minimum of fifteen (15) scholarly publications in reputable journals. Registration with Professional Body is required.
To be appointed, the candidate is expected to demonstrate evidence of academic leadership, capacity to develop the field/discipline in the department, ability for collaborative and multidisciplinary research and ability to supervise postgraduate students in the field.
READER
Interested applicants must possess a B.A./B.Sc./MBBS and Fellowship Part II with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division, M.A./M.Sc./Ph.D with at least ten (10) years of continuous teaching and research at the University level.
The candidate must show evidence of scholarship and tract record of outstanding research with a minimum of twelve (12) scholarly publications in reputable journals. Registration with Professional Body is required.
The Candidate is expected to demonstrate evidence of academic leadership, capacity to develop the field/discipline in the department, ability for collaborative and multidisciplinary research and ability to supervise postgraduate students in the field.
SENIOR LECTURER
Interested applicants must possess a B.A./B.Sc./MBBS and Fellowship Part II/ M.A/MSc and Ph.D from a recognized University and with at least eight (8) years of teaching and research at University level.
To be appointable, the candidate must show evidence of eight (8) scholarly publications in reputable journals and must be able to demonstrate potentials for academic leadership. Registration with Professional Body is required.
LECTURER I
Interested applicants must possess a Ph.D. or MBBS Fellowship Part I with at least five (5) years of experience in teaching at the University level or M.Sc./M.A. with five (5) years teaching experience in addition to being enrolled for a Ph.D programme.
The candidate must show evidence of four (4) scholarly publications in reputable journals and demonstrate potentials for academic leadership.
LECTURER II
Interested applicants must possess a B.Sc./M.Sc. or MBBS Fellowship (Part I) with at least five (5) years’ experience at the University or Tertiary institution. To be appointable, the candidate must show evidence of two (2) scholarly publications in reputable journals and demonstrate potentials for academic leadership.
TECHNOLOGIST
(a)Science Laboratory Technologist II
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate shall possess any of the following:
(i)B.Sc. 2.2
(ii)HND Credit Level and must possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Or full Technology Certificate not below lower credit from approved and accredited institution. Or Associate Institute of Science Technologist in relevant discipline plus (four) 4 years relevant working experience in a recognized institution not below lower credit pass.
(b)Science Laboratory Technologist I
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate shall possess the qualification in (a) plus three (3) years relevant working experience in a recognized institution or Higher National Diploma (HND) not below lower credit in relevant discipline; or full Technological Certificate in relevant discipline not below lower credit pass plus a minimum of eight (8) years relevant working experience in a recognized institution. In addition, registration with either: Associate Nigeria Institute of Science Technologist (ANIST) or Associate Institute of Science Technologist.
(c)Senior Science Laboratory Technologist
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate shall possess the qualifications in (a) plus minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience in a recognized institution or full Technological Certificate in relevant discipline not below credit level plus 12 years of relevant experience. Registration with the relevant Professional Body is required.
LABORATORY TECHNICIANS
(a) Higher Technical Officer
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate must possess either B.Sc. (third class) division or HND in relevant discipline not below lower credit, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, plus registration with either MIScT (Membership of Institute of Science Technology) or AIScT (Associate of Institute of Science Technology) or AIST (Associate of Institute of Science Technology) or ND in relevant discipline not below lower credit plus at least four (4) years relevant working experience in a recognized institution.
(b) Senior Technical Officer II
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate must possess the following qualifications:
i. B.Sc. (third class division), NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, registration with MIScT, AIScT or AIST plus three (3) years working experience.
ii. HND in relevant discipline not below lower credit, NYSC discharge or exemption certificate, registration with MIScT, AIScT or AIST plus four (4) years working experience.
iii. ND not below lower credit, plus eight (8) years working experience.
(c) Senior Technical Officer I
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate must possess qualifications listed in (b) above plus:
i. Six (6) years working experience for degree holders.
ii. Eight (8) years working experience for HND holders.
iii. Ten (10) years working experience for ND holders.
(d) Principal Technical Officer
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate must possess either a B.Sc. in relevant discipline not below second class lower division or HND in relevant discipline not below lower credit, plus registration with other professional bodies. This is in addition to the qualifications listed in (b) and (c).
(e) Assistant Chief Technical Officer I
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate must possess qualification listed in (c) and (d) above plus twelve (12) years relevant working experience in a recognized institution. He/she must also possess a postgraduate degree plus Fellowship plus 1 Seminar Paper.
(f) Chief Technical Officer
To be eligible for appointment to this position, a candidate must possess qualification listed in (c), (d) and (e) above plus at least fifteen (15) years relevant working experience in a recognized institution for degree holders; HND holders must also have fifteen (15) years relevant working experience in a recognized institution. A candidate must also possess a postgraduate degree plus Fellowship and 2 Seminar Papers.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
The remuneration and conditions of service are comparable with the conditions of service obtainable in the Nigerian University System, and as may be determined by the Council and the Proprietor from time-to-time.
