He made this known on Monday 20/07/2020 in a statement released to newsmen in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.
“Those in government today consistently shouted blue murder when they were clamouring for Power, but today they’ve lost their voices amidst wanton killings in a genocidal proportion” He said.
He further lamented that the Killings in Southern Kaduna left thousands homeless without a functional IDP camp. NEMA, SEMA and people of goodwill should swing into action to ameliorate the sufferings of the people”
Comrade Shul-Nom called on the affected communities not to take the laws into their hands stating that “taking the law into our hands will complicate the problem at hand. But the relevant security agencies should ensure the arrest and prosecution of the killers in a speedy manner.”
On the ECOWAS protocol on free movement, he advised that ” Nigeria should push for the withdrawal of the ECOWAS protocol on free movement. It’s counter productive because it gives room for miscreants from our neighbouring countries to sneak in with alliance from the local miscreants to kill and sneak out at Will”
He further suggested that “there is a serious need for community policing where trained locals by the Police should be well armed in order to repel attacks before the arrival of the conventional police” he also frowned at the massive deployment of security men during elections across all polling units but many communities are left unsecured after elections which makes them vulnerable.
He added that “without peace in our State and country, no meaningful development will take place. Government must take early warning signals of crisis seriously in order to avert attacks. We must live in peace with one another if we must experience development”
He ended by saying
“The covid-19 pandemic and it’s attendant effects on farmers is further worsened by attacks on farming communities which may lead to food insecurity and negates covid-19 safety protocols due to overcrowding in people’s houses and other facilities”
