Actor Van Vicker has noted that in as much as the government and the general public mean good by sharing food to the needy, a lot of caution must go into it.
The actor is warning that distributing food without any protective gears as well as disregard for other protocols may end up rather increasing the spread of Coronavirus.
Van Vicker said in a post on Instagram that, “I know here in Ghana our people mean well by helping to distribute food to the needy, excellent initiative.”
He cautioned that “However, we might want to reconsider the food distribution method which seems to defeat the whole purpose of the exercise. It defeats social distancing, it defeats people gathering with no mask.”
Such unchecked method of sharing food, according to him, “is rather promoting the spread of the virus, essentially. Extremely disquieting.”
Sharing a video from another country where soldiers delivered the food to the doorsteps of residents of a community, ostensibly to encourage social distancing, one of the ways to curb the spread of COVID-19.
“I got the video I posted here as a forward and it pleased me so I decided to share hoping the right person sees it and change the food distribution method.. #covid #staysafe #vanvicker,” Van Vicker said.
