Jema’a, Sanga, Kaura, Kauru & Zangon Kataf LGAs are to enjoy uninterrupted peace and security.
Speaking during a familiarization tour yesterday by the General Commandant, of the Operation Save Haven ( OPSH) Maj. Gen.C.C. Okwonkwo
Gen. Okwonkwo who before his appointment was the Special Asvicer vicer to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.Gen Burutai on Biu Universal stated that he is well informed about the security situation of the area and is ready to treck the extra miles to ensure that security of lives and property is guaranteed in Jema’a and other neighboring LGAs.
The newly posted Commandant, thanked the Local Government Council’ chairman of Jema’a and other Councils in the area for their efforts and cooperation to the Operation Save Haven Sector 7 located in Angwa Rimi Road he pray for more collaboration to ensure that peace is not a second choice in the area.
While thanking the Commissioner Ministry for Internal Security and Home affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, he assured him that the efforts of Kaduna State in tackling insecurity particularly in the southern part of the state will not be twarted. He commended the state government for putting all mechanisms on ground to ensure lives and property of the citizens are secured
He also assured that criminals are going to be treated on the bases of their offence not religion,political affiliations , ethnic background to mention but a few.
In his welcome remarks, the Commandant of the Operation Save Haven Sector 7, Col G. U. Akpan thanked the General Commandant for his August visit in April and assured him of his readiness to work assiduously to ensure the area under his watch is more safer than any other time in history.
In a key note address, the Commissioner Ministry for internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan welcomed the newly posted Commandant and assured him of the state Government readiness to work with him.
Aruwan also gave him briefs on the security situation of the areas under his watch and challanged him to device new means of curtailing such incidences. He enjoined him to feel relax as Kaduna State Government top priority is Security.
Aruwan Called on the general public to take advantage of the sector 7 of the Operation Save Haven located in the area to report any thing liable to cause breach of peace or to contact the ministry of internal security who works 24 hours in ensuring peace in the state.
The General Commandant paid courtesy calls to the Emir of Jama’a in Jema’a LG, and the Chief of Kagoro in Kaura- LG.
In their separate speeches, the monarchs expressed confidence on the newly posted Army General and assured him of their unreserved support in ensuring the success of his operation.
