Gov Sule’s adviser distributes palliatives materials.
The Special Adviser to the Governor of Nasarawa State on Youth Affairs and Sports Development, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu has distributed 800 bags of rice, garri and other food items as palliatives to cushion the effect of the COVID-19 lockdown in the state.
Hon. Kwanta Yakubu paid a surprise visit to Ningo/Boher community on Sunday, 26 April,2020 and distributed food items to every house hold in the community.
According to the Adviser, “These palliatives are necessary and timely in-line with the fact that our Muslim brothers just commenced the Ramadan season amidst the lockdown imposed due to COVID-19 pandemic.”
“I assure you that I will extend the benevolent gesture to other parts of the Local Government Area as a way of consolidating with the good deeds the Governor has started”. He stated.
In his remark, he admonished the people to always maintain a high level of personal hygiene and practice social distancing in order to prevent the deadly Corona virus.
The palliatives were shared to every household in the whole community and the village heads were in-charge of the process to ensure a smooth and unbiased distribution.
The Chem Nku, HRH Mr. Habila Adamu described Hon. Kwanta Yakubu ( The Turaki Nku) as a true son of the soil. The traditional chief applauded his generosity and admonished other spirited individuals of the land to emulate him.
The Wakilin Boher, Mr. Ali Mango also praised the Special Adviser while he charged other well-to-do sons and daughters of the land to thread the path of Hon. Kwanta Yakubu.
