Gombe state purchases 100 school computers for N100m
A pro-transparency group, BudgIT, has located the 100 computers purchased by the Gombe state government – The sum of N100m was allocated in the 2019 budget for the supply of 100 computers in Filya area of Gombe state.
The disclosure has sparked criticism on social media as many Nigerians wondered why a state would spend N1m to procure each computer The Gombe state government has procured 100 computers at the cost of N100m, TrackaNG, a project initiated by the pro-transparency group, BudgIT, that tracks the performance of government budgets has disclosed.
TrackaNG in a tweet on Monday, February 17, disclosed that it had tracked the delivery of the computers in Filya area of Gombe state. It said the sum of N100m was allocated in the 2019 budget for the supply of the 100 computers.
