If wishes were horses, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage fans would most definitely ride on them because their hopes of working together, as we speak, are close to nil.
Speaking during an interview with Ndani Tv in a video uploaded on their YouTube channel, Yemi Alade clarified her position when it comes to working with her compatriot, Tiwa Savage.
Yemi Alade, who at first didn’t know how to respond to the question of their collaboration says because the public has kept steering negative energy towards their collaboration, she feels its better they don’t collaborate so as not to fuel the already existing negativity.

“It’s unfortunate that with the troubles that people keep steering in our ways, it probably will never allow us to ever have a collaboration because you’re not sure the outcome would even be positive or be overrun by negative things and all the fights. When we do music, we do it so people can be happy, so when we do a song together, what are we fueling? What are we encouraging? That’s the most important question,” she said.
This, however, does not mean they don’t support each other’s work and contribution to the music industry.
During Tiwa Savage’s 49-99 single listening party held in London, England, the singer sent out a shout out to Yemi Alade and other African artists for their commendable jobs.

Yemi Alade’s Woman of Steel album Inspiration
‘Mama Africa’ recently released an album Woman of steel which features American rapper Rick Ross in one of the songs.
Yemi Alade explains the album was as an appreciation to the woman she has become over time.
“I just felt like I needed to celebrate the superhero that I had created for myself and that’s myself. I understand there are days we individually need to be our own cheerleaders and we individually must be our own hero’s. I grew up watching all these characters, superman, superwoman and I got to a position where I felt like I needed another one only this time it was me,” said.
