Pastor Yohanna Buru on Saturday led a team of pastors to Almajiri schools in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state where they distributed over 100 slates and other materials.
The aim is to foster better understanding, mutual relationship and peaceful co-existence among Muslims and Christians in the state.
Pastor Buru said the idea to distribute the items to the schools, located in Rigasa, Bakin Ruwa and Mando, was informed by their desire to continue to advocate  for peaceful co-existance, religious tolerance, love and brotherliness among Muslims and Christians in the state.
He urged  Muslims and Christians in the country to remain as an indivisible entity for the  attainment of peace and unity as well as the promotion of socio-economic development of the nation.
“We are distributing over 100 Arabic reading slates and other materials to boost education of Almajirai in the states and I want to charged religious and community leaders to continue to preach peace in the society.”
A Rigasa-based religious leader and the Galadiman Tudun Wada, Malam Lawal Maduru commended the foresight of the pastor for his initiative towards promoting unity, peace and understanding among Muslims and Christians.
While receiving the items which also included ink and traditional pencil (Alkalami), leaders of the various communities thanked the pastor for the effort which they said is aimed at promoting interfaith and religious tolerance.
