Dear Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,
I’d like to start by commending your effort in trying to restore greatness and development to our dearly beloved country, Nigeria. To be candid sir, I equally feel your pain over the loss of your Presidential election.
.
Sir, the results of the 2019 Presidential elections might not be what majority of Nigerians expected, as it is believed to be marred with irregularities by both local and international observers. Notwithstanding, I think it is imperative for you to concede defeat by congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari, even though you (Atiku) lost the election. Why should you concede defeat? You might ask.
.
My dear Wazirin Adamawa, by conceding defeat and congratulating President Buhari, you would be able to keep your pride and integrity intact, and you would also save your money. How? Dear Atiku, if you refuse to concede defeat and decides to take the matter to court, your chances of winning are staggering low. And if it happens that you lose the matter in court (which is most likely going to happen), your counterparts would laugh and mock you. And the money you would’ve spent before the case is finalized in court would have been enough to feed about 1 million Nigerians. So instead of taking it to court and wasting your time and resources, you could use them to make positive impacts in the lives of Nigerians as you’ve always done before.
.
Secondly, by conceding defeat and congratulating President Buhari, it would prove that you value the lives of Nigerians more than your political career. How? Alhaji Atiku, if you take the case to court and wins, there is no guarantee that President Buhari would step down for you. And even if he does, his supporters would not concede defeat. Believe me sir, they would embark on a ‘harmful’ protest, and that would lead to violence and the death of many Nigerians in the process.
.
Therefore, sir, if you value the lives of Nigerians, you would concede defeat by congratulating President Buhari. And by so doing, you would be able to maintain your dignity and resources at the end.
.
At this juncture, sir, I’d like to acknowledge that you are a real hero of democracy. You have done a lot for Nigerians, and you’re still doing. And truth be told, you mustn’t be the president before you can provide more employments and tackle poverty in Nigeria. You have done it, and you’re doing it. And we beseech you to continue sir. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Thank you, your excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar (Wazirin Adamawa).
.
Yours faithfully,
Enoch Israel
