The leader of Southern Kaduna People Union, (SOKAPU) Nasiru Jagaba has bitterly speak on the manner that Kaduna State government handle honoured the death of its Commissioner of Education, Professor Andrew Jonathan Nok, the only African professor to discovered the gene responsible for sleeping sickness in Africa. Read what he says below…
“Is this how how heartless the government of Nasiru El-rufai is? He can not even declare one day public holiday to morn the death of a his commissioner Professor Andrew Nok who died in selfless active service. He only came to his house to force hypocritic tears out of eyes and went back and continue his meeting.
Samuel Aruwan his media spoke man spoke very well of the important role Prof Nok played in the adminstration, he recounted Prof. Nok’s role in the world and stated how the Prof has received the highest honours in the world except only the Nubel Price which only one Nigeria (Prof. W. Soyinka) has. If he, Samuel Aruwan Knows those facts and speaks them for the world to hear, it means the Governor himself have spoken that.
They have praised him for being the strong man of the present Executive council too. Has his achievements as a scholar who made the state proud and brought her to lamplight in the world not earned him more than enough to be celebrated? What more his role as commissioner? what more his role in building great scientists for the Nation in ABU. This is hearthless and lesson to others.”
