FORMER Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, has heavily criticised President Muhammadu Buhari anti-graft war describing it as none other than a ruse.
President Buhari, he said , has no moral justification to fight corruption having worked under the late Nigeria’s Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha who every one know where he stand in Nigeria’s corruption history.
He stated this while speaking in a chat with the Hausa Service of the BBC.
Abacha, he reminded one and all appointed Buhari as chairman of the then Petroleum Trust Fund, PTF which was rocked by massive corruption scandal.
According to him, “He (Buhari) worked under Abacha; in fact he was the closest to the late military ruler and when it comes to corruption, everybody knows where Abacha’s government stands.”
Continuing he said, “Buhari is just making noise; there’s no iota of truth in the so-called commitment to the improvement of security and halting graft in the country.”
