In the early hour of Obasanjo’s presidency,Oduduwa People Congress (OPC) led by Gani Adams developed into a quasi terrorist organisation that was making Lagos unsafe for the Igbos,Hausas and other ethnic groups in the country.Obasanjo rose to the occassion by causing Gani Adams to be arrested.Yet,OBJ and Adams belong to the same ethnic group-Yoruba.
The Fulani herdsmen have been terrorizing the country for the past two years.The police has not arrested any person in connection with the criminal activities of these marauders.But when Ile-Ife,a city of love,fun and hospitality was caught in the fire of ethnic hostility leading to bloodshed, all the police could do was to hastily arrest the Jews as the offenders and exonorate the Gentiles as the innocent.The police is more efficient and competent than this.
This assault,insult and affront on Yoruba race could only be an order from above.If the imbroglio had involved the Igbos and the Yorubas,would the police have made any arrest?.
